These insulators were manufactured in the USA between 1860 and 1970. They were used to secure telephone and telegraph wire up on poles. They measure approx 4.25" (10.8 CM) tall by 3.75" (9.53 CM) diameter. They weigh approximately 1.5 pounds (680 grams.
They are acid washed to remove all dirt and grime and that leaves a beautiful shinny clean insulator.
