Artist Statement
As an assemblage artist, I work primarily with vintage objects that once had a life, a purpose, and now seem forgotten. My process is intuitive, guided by the materials themselves. I might find an iron rest that suggest a fish head or a wooden tool might echo a whale. These accidental resemblances spark the beginnings of my pieces. I love working with my hands and exploring how different materials work together to form a new figure. I aim to offer these cast-off items a second life. I hope to reveal the hidden character and charm in the broken or overlooked, creating sculptural pieces that feel both playful and/or beautiful.
