These Sea Spiral Trivet sets are created with repurposed lobster trap lines that are collected directly from lobster docks of Newburyport, Plum Island & Seabrook NH. When the trap lines get old, they save for this artisan's pick-up to make sailor knots and other home décor items.
Each piece is tied by hand from 1 single piece/section of lobster trap line. Knot is tied while rope is wet with salty sea water so that the weave dries tight and finished with a hemp whip tie at the end to prevent fraying.
This is a perfect add to your beach décor or a perfect gift for someone who loves the beach or the ocean.
Each trivet is approximately 9"-9.5"" W and each carry unique characteristics from its original use- so no two are the same and may vary from those pictured.
