Constructed in 1847 and named for Boston's famous son, the Revere House was considered one of the area's most prestigious hotels.

It hosted many luminaries of the era such as Charles Dickens during his US book tours, singer Jenny Lind ("The Swedish Nightingale" ), famed orator Daniel Webster and other notable guests such as Ulysses S. Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, & Walt Whitman. This wonderfully balanced design was carried on the hotel stationary for such guests to use for correspondence both home and abroad.

Located in Bowdoin Square in Boston's West End - the Revere House met an untimely demise by fire in 1912.
