This print was executed by the famed lithographic firm A.Hoen & Co of Baltimore who received multiple patents and awards for their pioneering methods on limestone. Founded in 1835, Hoen was the oldest continuously operating lithographer

Gorgeous gold lead frame does have a small chip in upper right & does show the general aging of a 100+ year old frame - but it does not detract this striking, historical work. Interestingly - as I was dissembling & delicately cleaning this frame - I found wonderful antique artifacts used as a backing board and have left them as part of this brilliant piece. (see pics!)
