His wife traveled ahead of him by rail and put up posters announcing his imminent arrival and ensured a restocked of commemorative coins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis key chain token was cast direct from a rare original.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe never wrote up his book as Sailor Jean but instead, reinvented himself as Colonial Jack several years later and set out once again. This time the ending was different. Upon returning to Newburyport he wrote the book he had planned, “The Walk of Colonial Jack: The Story of a Long-Distance Walker”. He sold it himself by – of course – walking from town to town \u0026amp; published it through several newspapers in New England.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter his wife passed in 1917, and Krohn settled in Salisbury, Mass., where he ran a fruit and vegetable stand and continued selling his tokens and telling stories of his travels. The first recorded sighting of the flag was noted in a Naval Insignia book in 1686. Morse in 1901 - the line sailed along the eastern seaboard of the United States and Canada, operating out of Boston and New York. \u003cbr\u003eAfter WWI Eastern Steamship Lines took advantage of a U.S loans initiative for American built ships and hired naval architect Theodore Ferris to design new ships for the New York to Boston route. \u003cbr\u003eThe ships had to be stable enough to cross Block Island Sound but narrow enough to pass through the Cape Cod Canal. \u003cbr\u003eOne of these ships was the S.S Boston - built by Maryland Steel Co \u0026amp; commissioned for service in 1924. She was 402 feet long, with 345 staterooms.
